MarketMakers present at Learning Live 2013
On September 11-12, the Learning and Performance Institute hosted a fantastic event in London. The Learning Live conference brought together forward-thinking industry leaders in learning and development to impart their knowledge during 20 focus sessions and seminars.
Having previously won Staff Development Programme of the Year (as awarded by the Learning and Performance Institute), MarketMakers were the perfect candidates to speak at the event.
Representing the organisation on September 12 were Operations Director, Henry Braithwaite and Learning and Development Manager, Steve Cass – developers of the MarketMakers Business School staff development programme.
With years of experience between them, Henry and Steve presented information on the topic of ‘Improving Business Profit & Retention by Engaging Staff’. They discussed topics such as how the right learning and development programme can reduce staff turnover by 50%; how hands-on practical training sessions can make a difference to a business; and how to fit training into a business where all hours are billed to a client.
In addition to this, they also presented valuable information on creating an atmosphere of aspiration within an organisation and changing the view of staff development from tedious necessity to attractive opportunity.
With award-winning credentials and the benefit of years of call centre and staff development experience, Henry and Steve were able to create a highly engaging presentation which was filled with real-world examples and first-hand evidence of success.
