MarketMakers Attended The B2B Conference
MarketMakers exhibited and attended The B2B Conference on Thursday 23rd October at One America Square, Central London. The conference promised to give delegates up to date insight into areas such as demonstrating ROI, maximising long term engagement and ways to boost your multi-channel and social media to impact results and to prove value. The one day event was packed with key note speaker sessions, round table discussions, panel Q&A sessions and time scheduled in for networking.
21 senior B2B marketers from leading brands attended the event all sharing their latest insights and knowledge into the B2B Marketing industry. The day started with Lorna Nightingale, Head of Marketing from ESRI UK sharing her insight: how to gain insight into customers, competitors, products and prospects and how to effectively engage with your audience. Following Lorna was Natalia Cano, B2B Marketing Manager from Google + and Helen Lawrence, Head of Creative Agency from Twitter who also gave some great b2b examples of using the social channels in the current market. There were many other speakers throughout the day including Sarah Goodall from SAP, Simon Hall from Dell and Anthony Ainsworth from E.ON.
Sarah Goodall from SAP shared her knowledge in her presentation title, ‘A Clear-Cut & Effective B2B Digital Strategy to throw your Digital Energy in the right direction.’ Exploring how the shifting B2B buyer behaviour is affecting our marketing and how important unified digital campaign work is. Sarah encouraged companies to see the rise in digital strategies and utilise our employees as brand advocates as a rising importance channel within the digital world. A key takeaway highlighted that an employee advocate is 2 X more trusted than a CEO and they have 10 X more social connection than a brand does. Content shared by employees receives 8 X the engagement of content shared by brand channels – some great stats!
The programme had a registration and objective settings, giving attendees major challenges and goals for the day. Throughout the day there were further breaks for informal facilitated networking which allowed us to meet all the attendees at the conference. MarketMakers had some great conversations with the other companies that were there.
The B2B Marketing Conference was a great day and would thoroughly recommend attending in the future!
