About Me
My name is Luca I like to play football and I am studying business BTEC at college. I really like business and the whole aspect of it which is the reason I am now working at MarketMakers. My favourite subject of business is marketing and trading, so marketing a product or service or stocks and shares.
Why did I choose MarketMakers?
Just over two years ago I completed my work experience with MarketMakers, and really enjoyed working within the marketing team. I worked across all areas of marketing and when I left, I decided that a company like MarketMakers is where I would want to work in the future. A year later while I was doing my GCSEs, I applied for a BTEC in business at Highbury College and was thinking what could help me to progress within my course. After having such a good time when I worked there the first time, I called MarketMakers to see if they had any roles available that would suit what I wanted to do. After calling and speaking with Elle, who was the person who had previously worked with me during my work experience, I received an email offering me a position working on Mondays when I have time of college. It was amazing because I was going back to the business I wanted to work for after completing my work experience, and working within a business that is very successful in its industry of B2B marketing.
How will this benefit me?
Working at MarketMakers will benefit my education into business studies in many different ways. For example, while working here I will get to know a lot of new people and make a lot of new friends. I will also get a lot of experience, and take in a variety of information within the marketing industry and working as part of a very successful company. I will learn a lot of different skills, like how to communicate with potential clients, as well as learning how to use a lot of different marketing platforms to target specific markets and get to know your customers. This will also help me to better understand my business course at college with hands on experience. I will also be able to put this experience on my CV which will help me a lot on the long run.
What will I do while I’m here?
I will help out the marketing team with LinkedIn, and also help them with handling relevant data into Excel. I will help send out email campaigns to new customers or people that are interested in the reliable B2B service that MarketMakers provide. I will also get to know the procedures that MarketMakers do to advertise to people about their services. All of this will help me gain so much experience in the marketing industry.
