Team MarketMakers – Mission 2 London!
Since 2011, the staff at MarketMakers, Really B2B and Lead Forensics have supported the charities SHUMAS and www.schoolsforafrica.co.uk. We have been hugely successful with our fundraising efforts thanks to the generosity of our team, clients, suppliers, friends and family. The money raised has so far been used to provide five primary schools, four secondary schools and a nursery, four health centres and four water facilities to the communities of Nseh, Bipock, Bangourian and Mbiame, all in Cameroon.
Our first aim for 2015 is to help support the community of Bamenda, the capital of the North West Region. Our target is to fund and build a new water source, three secondary school classrooms and two technical college workships and the full refurbishment of a health centre.
We fundraise through a range of events and activities. Staff donate through GAYE (give as you earn) and we raise cash throughout the year through dress down days as well as giving 100% profit from our vending machines. We hold an annual black-tie charity every November which raises thousands of pounds from our generous guests and the team at MarketMakers take part in other fundraising activities such as the Three Peaks Challenge, record breaking climbs and a London to Paris bike ride.

This week end fifty members of the MarketMakers, Really B2B and Lead Forensics team will be taking part in the ‘Mission 2 London Charity Challenge’. This Saturday there are four ways to get to London, a half marathon along the bank of the Thames, a 73 mile cycle from the MarketMakers head office, Kayaking along the thames or – for the really brave – a sky-dive.
Luke Bartram post training session – with bike generously donated by Wiggle.
All those taking part have been busy collecting sponsors from family and friends and collectively will raise over £10,000!!!
The rest of the team will be cheering the guys on in their various events before everyone celebrates with a well deserved party in London at the end of the day.
We’re sure you will join us in wishing all of those taking part the best of luck, we are very grateful to everyone who dedicated so much time training for and taking part in the challenge. A big thanks also to everyone who has donated – if you haven’t already, you can donate here www.justgiving.com/teams/mmreallylf – and a special thank you must go to the team at Wiggle who generously donated a Veranti Insight cycle to our Head of Recruitment, Luke Bartram (who left his training a bit late but at least he’ll look stylish!).
Keep your eye on our social media pages for updates over the week end.
